Calabria Movie Poster

Capturing the essence of Magna Graecia’s ancient past and modern cinema, my artwork for the Calabria Movie Short Film Festival poster features the mythological Medusa portrayed in the style of classic Greek vase paintings. Instead of serpents, Medusa’s hair is composed of cinematographic film strips. Sporting a pair of glasses emitting the iconic projector beam reminiscent of Fritz Lang’s Metropolis, the image intertwines the rich history of the region with the magic of cinema.
